Thanksgiving (A Magnificent Monday)

It is another beautiful Monday!  And guess what?  We are only 2 1/2 weeks away from Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving happens to be my favorite holiday.  Yes, I love the food and I love family fun, but more importantly I love the way this season brings the idea of focusing on “blessings” and “being thankful” back to the forefront of our minds.

I believe wholeheartedly that this is an attitude God demands we have.  Why not be thankful every day?  Wouldn’t you like to go through life with no worry? Wouldn’t you love to be at peace in every single moment of every single day?

Phillipians 4:4-8 says,
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.Let your reasonableness[a] be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
