Table Conversations (Magnificent Monday!)

Happy Monday, everybody!!

I've got an interesting riddle for you.....

A pregnant woman went in to labor to give birth to a set of twins.  The first twin boy was born at 1:39 a.m.  The second twin boy was born 31 minutes later.  However, the second twin was born at 1:10 a.m.  How is this possible?  How could the second twin boy have been born 31 minutes later, but at an earlier time than his brother?

Well....the answer is because they were born when our clocks hit Daylight Savings Time.  This is an interesting true story out of Massachusetts that provided a tricky brainteaser for my kids to figure out during dinner the other night.

I am thankful for a family that has committed to sitting down at the dinner table together, shutting off the television, and actually talking.  This is a nightly ritual for us.  Sitting at the table together provides opportunities for deeper conversations, devotionals and prayer time, fun stories, and teaching!

My wife and I find that this is one of the best times of the day to practice Proverbs 22:6...."Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it."

If sitting down at the dinner table together is not a practice in your family, I encourage you to make it a priority.  You'll be amazed at how God will bring your family even closer together through something so simple.
