I absolutely love being a dad. In fact, there is no other job or hobby that can compete with it. I'd rather invest my time and money into my family than I would anything else. It baffles me when I hear people complain about parenting. Some work so hard to get time away from their children. I am constantly trying to find ways to have more time with mine.
Not trying to toot my own horn, because I know there are many other dads that feel the same way. To you, I salute you! The world needs more good dads. (PROVERBS 20:7 DADS!)
Before I became a father, I didn't realize how much I'd actually enjoy it. A lot of people joked that it would be the end of my world. That is so far from the truth. It was the beginning of a much more rich and fulfilling world. I am certain that my love for being a father comes from our Heavenly Father. You can't read scripture and deny the fact that He loves being a Father. Giving us a similar responsibility is an incredible way to understand Him more. I am thankful for His great love for us.
