A Foggy Outlook for 2022?

Don't try to adjust your screen or wait for the page to buffer. This is a real photo I took this morning as I jogged around West Point. The fog was thick. I could barely see what I was running into.

I couldn't help but think that this was a perfect analogy for entering a new year. We may think we know what the next year will hold, but in all honesty, we're walking into the fog, the unknown.

All our churches were ready to talk about having a 20/20 vision 2 years ago. No one predicted the emotional rollercoaster of 2020. Many thought 2021 would get us back to normal. Now, we should know better. What will 2022 hold? Only God truly knows.

Regardless of what you think 2022 will hold, I want to encourage you to learn from 2021 and dedicate everything this next year to doing God's work.

"Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act."
Psalm 37:3-5

I am thankful for the blessings God graciously gave me in 2021. My family had many adventures. The ministry of working with West Point cadets was the richest its been in my 3 years here. I ran 1,280 miles! That's a 2021K and then some! We saw some amazing things, met some wonderful people, and saw Jesus change lives. I couldn't ask for much more.

Happy 2022! God Bless!
