The Most Romantic Words Ever Said

Happy Valentine's Day! Just in time for this day focused on love, I thought I'd first share some of the cheesiest pick-up lines ever uttered. Feel free to use any of these at your own risk, or if you feel like channeling your inner slimeball or creeper.

-Well, here I am. What were your other two wishes?

-You be the biscuits and I'll be the gravy, let us do breakfast sometime.

-You must be a magnet, because it looks like you are attracted to my buns of steel.

-I was looking at a light bulb today and it made me think of you and how you light up my world.

-Do you have a BandAid? I just scrapped my knee falling for you.

-Let's make like a fabric softener and Snuggle

-Excuse me, do you have any raisins? How about a date?

-Giant polar bear (What?) It broke the ice.

-Is there a rainbow today? I just found the treasure I've been searching for!

-Excuse me, I think you have something in your eye. Nope, it's just a sparkle.

-Is your dad a terrorist? Because you are the bomb.

-You must be Jamaican, because Jamaican me crazy.

-Your daddy must be a hunter because he sure caught a fox!

-If I could rearrange the alphabet, I would put U and I together.

-Do you have a map? I just keep on getting lost in your eyes.

Those don't seem quite so smooth? Try this on for size.....
One of the most romantic statements ever written comes from scripture, Romans 5:8, "God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." This drowns us with romance, because not only are they powerful words of love to cling to, but they are a statement of God's demonstration. God just doesn't say He loves us, He truly loves us.

I think when we're honest, most of us realize that our definition of love is often cheapened. We settle many times for the cheesy pick-up lines, rather than responding to the true divine romance. I encourage you on this Valentine's Day to find your satisfaction in true love. I'm not encouraging you to make Jesus your Valentine or homeboy. He's so much more than those cheap labels! Respond to His love with action instead of empty words, and love the world like He's called us to!
