Memorial Day serves as an important reminder to consider the sacrifices that so many have made for our freedoms, comfort, and livelihood. Not only do we honor the fallen, but also pray for and remember the families of those fallen. The sacrifice does not only come from the service member, but it also comes from those they love and hold dear.
Sacrifice shows the greatest expressions of love. None of those expressions are greater than Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. He laid down His life for you. As you remember sacrifices on this day, make sure you know of and remember Jesus’ sacrifice. Through His death and resurrection, we can live in the most incredible freedom ever known. Don’t miss it. This is the most important thing you can reflect on this day.
